Smokey Eyes: All you need to Know

Smokey eyes are the most appreciated makeup style for this season. This trend is not going to die soon. Here are the list of things that you would need to have, steps to do smokey eye makeup and some tips for your eyes to charm your guy.

First of all here are the things that you need to create a perfect smokey effect to your eye:

  • Mineral makeup foundation: It’s a perfect concealer
  • Eye primer: Its works great by keeping your eye shadow in place
  • Eyeliner: Pick the type of liner and the color according to your shadow
  • Shadows: Pick the colors that you want to have on your eyes
  • Makeup Brush: Q-tip, smudge brush and sponge tip
  • Mascara: For the final touch

How to do Smokey Eye makeup?

  1.  Prepare your Lid: Prepare your eyes for the eye shadow by applying your mineral makeup foundation over the top lid and under eye area.
  2. Use the Liner: Apply eye pencil to both top and bottom rims of the eye and pay close attention to the going in lash line.
Note: Here are some tips for your eye liner that you need to care of:

  • If you are using liquid liner, then make dots in the line and after that follow the dots for a perfect line
  • If you have small eyes than start the liner from middle of the under eye to outside of eye.
  • Feel free to line your eyes from corner to corner if you have big eyes.
  • Choose the liner according to the smokey eyes you want for dark smokey eyes choose the black or grey eye liner
3.     Add the Shadow: Soften the edges of line with q-tip brush. Then with the sponge tip applicator, apply the dark shadow.
4.     Smudge: After applying the shadow, smudge the liner and shadow with the smudge brush (if you want, use finger tip)
5.     Light Base Color: Use a good cream shade for base, and then brush a glittery shadow over the brow bones. After the eye liner and base now it’s time to add dark hue to give the perfect smokey effect. Use darker shadow and start blending at your lash line.
6.     Mascara: Give the final touch with the mascara, so apply the coats of mascara to have a thick look eye lashes.
